Carrot is proud to support the Charles F. Kettering Foundation in delivering the inaugural Kettering Democracy Prize, awarded on November 18, 2025, to Alexei Navalny (posthumously, accepted by his widow) and Judith Browne Dianis. The Prize recognizes individuals whose courage and commitment strengthen inclusive democracy and protect the rights and voices of people around the world.
Carrot powered the program through the Carrot Platform and provided program design, program branding, program development, and program management. Our team worked closely with the Kettering Foundation to create a clear, transparent, and meaningful process that honors individuals working at the front lines of democratic change.
Alexei Navalny inspired millions through his opposition to authoritarianism, his work exposing corruption, and his advocacy for political participation across Russia, even at significant personal risk. His legacy continues through efforts led by his widow to advance civic engagement and uphold democratic values.
Judith Browne Dianis has dedicated her career to defending civil rights, protecting voting rights, and challenging systemic injustice in the United States. Her leadership has expanded representation and strengthened democratic participation for communities that have long been marginalized.
At Carrot, we believe in the power of thoughtful, well designed programs to elevate important work and inspire public engagement. The Kettering Democracy Prize reflects the importance of recognizing individuals who confront challenges to democratic life and promote solutions rooted in justice and equity.
We are honored to partner with the Kettering Foundation on this initiative and remain committed to delivering programs that support participation, accountability, and impact.
