The Hillman Family Foundations support multiple generations of philanthropic and civic initiatives in the Pittsburgh area. We have spent the past 70+ years building our reputation and engaging local leaders and changemakers. Working with Carrot, we were able to launch an open call for grant applications that was both manageable and meaningful, inviting those working on the front lines to propose new and innovative solutions. Using the services of Carrot, we were able to advance our own funding goals while also surveying the field of options that would not have surfaced through a more traditional approach.
