Access to quality health care remains one of the greatest challenges we face as a global community. As a global company, Johnson & Johnson embraces our responsibility to the communities where we work – and that means committing people, resources, and resolve to improving the health and well-being of people all over the world.
The Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact (GCI) team invests in people on the front lines of care as they change the trajectory of health for the world's most vulnerable people, their families and their communities. Our goal is to create a healthier world, one community at a time, through our strategic partnerships. That’s why we created the GenH Challenge—by applying ingenuity, entrepreneurship, and the expertise of people at the heart of care, Johnson & Johnson and our partners can accelerate progress in realizing the healthiest generation – what we call “GenH.”
Johnson & Johnson values fairness, openness, and transparency and for the GenH Challenge, we’ve made available to the public the application in its entirety, the trait scoring rubric, as well as bios and photos of all judges in the competition. Our goal is to provide value for everyone who participates.
Accelerate. That was Johnson & Johnson’s charge with the launch of the GenH Challenge, its first-ever social venture pitch competition. How can we accelerate bold thinking on the front lines of care to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
Over the course of five months, the GenH Challenge community connected with everyday innovators to explore how collaboration and ingenuity could unlock the healthiest generation – “GenH” – and help solve the most pressing global health challenges. From midwives to bioengineers, nutritionists to business analysts, nurses to economists – the GenH Challenge fostered novel thinking and conversation among unlikely partners to see how entrepreneurship and insights from the front lines of care can inspire the next big idea in healthcare.
At Johnson & Johnson, we know and value that great innovation is at the heart of good healthcare—and that breakthrough ideas can come from anyone, anywhere.
That’s why we’re launching the GenH Challenge, a global social venture competition dedicated to finding solutions for some of the world's toughest health problems, so we can help create the healthiest generation ever.
